love this sweet chee cheong fun with dried shrimps

Woke up this morning and kept thinking about that really yummy chee cheong fun around Pudu area (Kuala Lumpur). The first time I went there was because the Teow Chew Dim Sum Restaurant at Pudu closed down so my boyfriend brought me to this lil shop instead. It look quite Hong Kong street-type condition with small tables n chairs inside the air conditioned shop. A lot of people were eating, it must be good? The restaurant is called Yap Hup Kee amongst the chinese paper trading shops around this place. The famous roast pork shop is just a few feet away.

I am not a fan of chee cheong fun or yong tau foo food but trust me this place is really so tasty until I could come back to eat here when I have so many chee cheong fun stalls around my housing area. The place may look a bit scruffy and street-ish to you but they have good food. For 3 servings of chee cheong fun with dry shrimps, yong tau foos and a bowl of minced pork wantan mee and two drinks the bill came up to RM27, not bad for a serving of 4 pax but be warn first place of chee cheong fun is not enough.

Yesterday bought two darling size cakes (mini cakes) to be eaten at dinner as dessert. It's my birthday cakes, don't need it too big this was just perfect for 3-4 pax to bite on. I like the strawberry shortcake but my friends loved the cheese cake. Bought it from Patisserie Rui, an artisan bakery shop. The only cake shop that I would eat from. I hate cakes you see but these cakes from here, they don't make me hate them!

DIY SpongeBob Christmas Gingerbread House

My first time buying a DIY Gingerbread House and I chose the SpongeBob and Patrick Pineapple Gingerbread house! It cost me about RM30.00. Truthfully, it's such a mess to do even though everything inside this kit is already prepared and made to be use on the spot. A pain that they didn't provide a spatula! (defeats the purpose of everything already prepared!). Messy, pain and annoying little project! Camie, Kenby , Tommy and Me break havoc on it! it didn't look like the pretty nice Pineapple house in the box photo. Turns out like a tsunami has wrecked the decorations on it. Crap and it taste yucky too. I don't think it's suitable to be eaten by children, too much sugar and icing! EWW!!!

I told Wing I needed a big Jelly Cake that's 3kg RM90, Pandan flavor preferred. She impressed me by buying the one and only Rainbow Jelly Cake 3kg RM90 and thank god it's Pandan! good work Wing, thanks for helping me.

week 3: 74kg now

Finally you must be thinking I didn't eat for 2 weeks and lost 3kg.

Actually I kinda regret making a food diary blog. Don't know why, but I feel like my food life is so boring haha to talk about. Also because I feel like I'm in prison, weight watching prison. I still eat junk and nasi lemak but I have been cutting down/out my dinner due to heavy or late lunch. Sometimes I will have a bread for dinner. I think its great, we've been doing it wrong! dinner is not suppose to be heavy or like a gala event haha coz we don't use as much energy at night after dinner and the food starts showing as spare tyres in the next few weeks.

I have to confess, I eat KFC 2 days ago. SORRRRRRRRY ARRRRRGHHH I WANT EAT KFC I LOVE KFC!!! I don't like diet, I don't like exercise... this isn't working out for me.

OH my bf is dragging me to climb stairs at Saga Hill or Bukit Gasing this Fri/Sat/Sun. Sounds like hell to me.

I started as 76kg now I am 74kg. Not bad.. its time to say bye bye to Coke.

Sinful Monday

To kick of my Monday Blues and the yucky economy rice that I eat yesterday (I don't like economy rice) I had sinful fat rice this morning as breakfast. See I eat breakfast. Nasi Lemak's literal english translation is Fat Rice. Hear also scare. Maybe I should not eat Fat Rice anymore but it is one of my favourite Malaysian dishes that I can't stop eating. Perhaps thinking "Fat Rice" will help repeal it off (I hope).

Lunch time, my boss & I went to buy office printer toner at Ikano Power Center, Mutiara Damansara. She asked me what's for lunch while we're on the escalator going up. The first thing that we see is A&W. It's been a long time since I eat A&W!!! and they have revamp their marketing strategy I see, by adding more promotions and desserts. I love their waffles but since I am suppose to lose weight, i will not eat the waffles.

Lunch: Coney Dog Set (beef corney dog + root beer + curly fries) RM10 (Estimate)

Seems like all bad food today. For dinner I shall be a bit more healthy and go for Subway Sandwiches! coz today is Monday & that means the Sandwich of the day is BMT!!! (the best wan and most worth it to eat among all 7 days). Muahaha it's rm7-90 only.

Unfortunately I feel too full coz Coney Dog & root beer still in my stomach. Therefore i eat 1/2 Subway Sandwich only.

Still very bad. I must cook at home tomorrow.

Sunday Economy Day

Day 1 - Sunday when I finished writing my first post here, I went out for my 1st meal of the day. I'm not a morning person so yeah I usually don't eat breakfast. A lot of people would slap me. They say Breakfast is important and it kick starts your day. Also they say if I skip breakfast, I actually gain more weight.

IS BREAKFAST REALLY IMPORTANT?

I will try to eat breakfast more, maybe a bun or something but today it's already noon. My bf & I went to TTDI's Restaurant Sun Yau Tak Teng chinese hawker shop. The Uncle Lam Mee is no more there! WHYYY! it's the best lam mee and chilli that I have ever eaten sob sob. Since no more Lam Mee, I took economy rice instead. Economy Rice = Rice with selected sides.

My lunch: half rice + sweet & sour fish cutlets + fried drumstick (ops)

Actually my dinner was also economy rice coz after my boyfriend fix his pc at Lowyat, we went to the opposite Starbucks (got a lot hawker stalls) to eat economy rice.

My dinner : half rice + steam egg + sweet & sour chicken

Sorry no pics T_T perhaps I will take pics of my food next time. Scare I get kick out for snapping pics of hawker stall food. Sometimes I feel like it's a big hawker food triad story and these people got amazing lifestories to tell.

Food Diary

The Year is coming to and end, and my 15 years resolution to lose weight is still well a resolution (sighs). I'm no gluttony nor do I eat like a pig but somehow my size is that of a watermelon while some of my friends with blessed metabolism (rocket fuel type) stays thin & eats like there's no tomorrow. My boyfriend challenge me to a lose weight program (more like a get rich scheme). It sounds good seriously until you read the fine clause.

Brick's Lose Weight & Stay That Way Program

For every 1kg I lose from 80-70kg I get paid rm100 per kg.
For every 1kg I lose from 70-60kg I get paid rm200 per kg.
For every 1kg I lose from 60-55kg I get paid rm300 per kg.

The Fine Clause

For every 1kg that I lose & gain back, I pay him double back.

Seriously does this sound like a get rich scheme for him? I been fat all my life. Gaining weight is like a roller coaster ride. Maybe I should stay within the 80-70kg range so when I gain weight I won't need to pay him like rm600 per kg! Hahaha.. anyway it's a fun challenge. I need to lose weight too and OMG I been dating him like forever! He says if i lose weight to 60kg, he'll get married to me straight away. Let's see who has the last laugh. Maybe I will become hot & sexy when 60kg and marry someone else.
